Glass was a way of life for Charles Kaziun, Jr.
Fascinated with glass at an early age, Kaziun
first learned by watching a glass blowing
demonstration at a local fair and then
experimenting on his own using empty coffee cans
and used glass as equipment and materials. Later,
while employed as a technical glassblower, he
spent his evening off-hours attempting to produce
paperweights as fine as those made by the French
in the 19th century, a goal it is generally
conceded that he reached.
